"Design visualization goes virtual at Pininfarina with Bunkspeed"
Bunkspeed 3D solutions standardizes use of photgraphic prototypes during design phase
Los Angeles, California August 8, 2007 – Bunkspeed announced today that its 3D solution sets have been chosen by Pininfarina to standardize visualization of the automaker’s potential designs and design colors and materials.
Pininfarina has always been a company that worked at a high rhythm, aligned with the renowned speed of their trademark Ferraris and Maseratis, or concept cars and one-off’s such as the Maserati “Birdcage” that was built to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary.
Now Pininfarina’s designers can use Bunkspeed’s visualization solutions to even further improve and speed up their design process, by instantly applying different paints, materials, lighting, and environments to their digital models. Pininfarina expects this new technology to reduce costs while adding more flexibility during the design phase.
